Howlett Leasing supplied me with my work van and the service Stacey gave me out of this world! Not only did she give me the best price out of all the quotes, the service was by far the best! I won't shop around next time and waste my time, I'll go straight to Howlett Leasing!

I have dealt with car leasing companies in the past but never one that ticked all my boxes re professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, customer focus and business knowledge. Stacey did a fantastic job in securing me a great deal on my VW Golf, from point of enquiry to vehicle delivery. I will be recommending Howlett Leasing as the only go to leasing company for real results!

David Blundell Electrical from Colchester, Essex, recently took delivery of his brand new Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDti SX on a Business Contract Hire agreement, David said .... 'Why can't everything be as simple as this? An easy to use service, very straightforward, just how I like it with just a few forms to complete. I am very pleased with the car, it was the right car at the right price with a good mpg and easy to park'.

We decided to use Howlett Leasing as I had previously experienced their services whilst at another company. I found them very helpful and their service was excellent. We like to purchase from like minded people.

Stacey was extremely helpful and didn't seem to be bothered by the number of questions and re-running quotes until i settled on the car we have!

This was the first time I’ve leased a new van. My customer experience from Stacey at Howlett leasing was exceptional, from the first phone call I made to the delivery of new van was second to none. I would highly recommend using Howlett leasing as I will be again if I ever decide to lease another vehicle. I went to other companies for quotes but the thing that set them apart was nothing ever seemed like a problem and Stacey wasn’t ever ‘pushy’ to sign on the dotted line like some of the main dealers out there.

As part of the overall drive to reduce emissions, and to comply with the new Euro 6 emission standards, more and more diesel cars now include SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology.
Used in the right way, SCR can help to reduce Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions by as much as 90%, with fuel efficiency also increasing by between 3% and 5%. For the technology to work, vehicles need to be fitted with a special tank for storing a liquid-reductant agent known as AdBlue®. So if your vehicle is fitted with AdBlue® there are a few things you’ll need to know.
What exactly is AdBlue®?
AdBlue® is a mixture of water and urea, which you top up periodically, as you do with fuel. As you drive, AdBlue® flows from the tank into the exhaust pipe via a dedicated catalyst. The effect is a chemical reaction that converts most of the NOx molecules into nitrogen and water. This is then released into the atmosphere as steam. How do I fill up the AdBlue tank? AdBlue® is available from an increasing number of fuel stations and motorway services, but your dealer will also be able to supply AdBlue®. New vehicles tend to have a filling point next to the fuel cap, however it does vary depending on the manufacturer and model so it’s best to refer to the owner’s manual before you start.
How will I know when it’s needed?
It’s important to take action as soon as you see any relevant warning lights on your dashboard. There are three possible warnings:-
First Warning - advises you that the AdBlue® tank is getting low. Second Warning - will give you a mileage range and sometimes is accompanied by an acoustic warning. Final Warning - at this point the vehicle will either go into limp home mode (run at reduced power) or will not restart once the ignition has been switched off.
Many leasing companies consider AdBlue® to be a fuel and therefore the cost of refilling is not covered by maintenance contracts.
