'Excellent service from Stacey. Every query was answered very promptly and the whole process was very smooth and hassle free! Very pleased with the car. Thanks.'

Tom Parker, Ipswich

We were new to leasing and Stacey helped us through every step. Should we require any more vehicles in the future our first stop will be Howlett Leasing. 1st Class service.

Mr Ed Bilbow, Worldwide Shipping Solutio

Howlett Leasing offer a superb service. Quotations cover a range of vehicles and plans available. Once you make your choice the order process is user friendly and easy to use. Howlett Leasing keep you up to sate on progress. If you have any queries during the process, or afterwards, they are always there to help and if they cannot directly assist they always direct you to who you need to speak to. I have just ordered my second car on lease from Howlett Leasing - I had to come back to them as their whole service is brilliant.

Trina Hill, Cambs

Stacey has looked after my car needs for the past few years. Her customer service is always top notch and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Nikki Butlin, Cambs

'After a business setback a few years ago I had been left with a less than glowing credit history. Nobody seemed very optimistic about the prospects of obtaining car finance until I found Howlett Leasing. Although it took some time, Stacey was eventually able to not only secure a non-status leasing contract, but at a rate that was actually better than most 'mainstream' deals that I've seen. I'm now driving a new a Volvo XC60 and couldn't be more delighted with it.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Howlett Leasing and in fact wouldn't now consider going anywhere else for future car finance. Many thanks Stacey for all of your help and I will certainly be back when I need another car.'

Paul Brown, PBA Training Scunthorpe

'The passion and the process of leasing my Mercedes CLS is as much of an experience as a walk amongst the supercars in a showroom!
'Thanks again, and see you next time...!'

Tracy Dolan

I would just like to say a 'Big Thank You'! Over the past 4 years Ames has leased several vehicles from you and received various quotes from Stacey Howlett and her team. The service provided is always 1st class and a pleasure to discuss potential business. I would definitely recommend your company

AlRead, Altek Mid Environ, Birmingham

Having never leased before I was recommended to go to Howlett Leasing and was never disappointed. Stacey worked tirelessly and was available for help many times outside 'office' hours.
Very helpful, very efficient, very responsive, very considerate and worked through email very well, which suited my style as I was not always in the UK.
I can't recommend highly enough and would always make Howlett Leasing my first port of call if I want to lease again. Thank you.

Stephen Sim, Bury St Edmunds

David Blundell Electrical from Colchester, Essex, recently took delivery of his brand new Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDti SX on a Business Contract Hire agreement, David said .... 'Why can't everything be as simple as this? An easy to use service, very straightforward, just how I like it with just a few forms to complete. I am very pleased with the car, it was the right car at the right price with a good mpg and easy to park'.

David Blundell Electrical, Colchester

'We as a Company have been using Howlett Leasing for many years now, and we always get a good service. Our latest car which is a Mazda CX5 arrived on the same day as our old Mazda CX5 left us. we are very happy as usual with all the aspects of our whole experience with Stacey at Howlett Leasing, and hopefully in future cars. Many Thanks Julie and Jou from Essex Digital Copiers.'

The Peugeot 208 hatchback is a modern, stylish supermini with a future-proof engine range

The Peugeot 208 hatchback is the French brand's best-selling model and has evolved from the iconic Peugeot 205 supermini. The small five-door is a direct rival to the Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio and Volkswagen Polo, and while it still competes with the Vauxhall Corsa, it now shares a great deal with it too.

The latest 208 marks the occasion that, for the first time, Peugeot is offering a fully electric version of one of its cars in the form of the Peugeot e-208. Recent hits like the Peugeot 3008 SUV meant hopes were high that the 208 would continue the brand’s success, firmly closing the door on the ugly and poorly built cars of its recent past. Happily the manufacturer has succeeded, distilling the impressive design of its SUVs into this small but crucial model to take the fight to a range of competitive rivals.

This 208 looks like no other supermini, with a sophisticated face and fang-like LED daytime running lights, along with contrasting wheel arches and a black roof for sporty GT Line models. The wheels are pushed out to each corner, and the rear C-pillars and short, rounded hatchback are clearly inspired by the Peugeot 205.

Peugeot 208 hatchback front trackingUnderneath, the 208’s new chassis has been future-proofed by making it highly adaptable. From the outset, it'll be able to accomodate petrol, diesel or pure-electric powertrains, and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol is expected to make up the bulk of sales. This PureTech engine is offered with 75, 99 or 128bhp, while a 1.5-litre diesel offers 99bhp and the electric e-208 is effectively the range-topping model with 134bhp and a driving range of up to 211 miles. Find a rapid 100kW fast-charger and it can be topped up to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. It's likely to attract customers who'd never considered a Peugeot supermini before and they're likely to be very impressed by the interior. Sophisticated, soft-touch materials, lashings of piano black trim, contrasting stitching and a digital instrument display are features more commonly associated with executive cars, but they're all here. In fact, Allure trims and above even get a new 3D driver's display for an even more impressive effect.

There's lots of kit too, including 17-inch alloy wheels, LED rear lights and wireless charging for the Allure, while GT Line cars get a sporty makeover and LED headlights. The 208 isn't cheap as a result - in fact, our test car came in at around £3,000 more than the equivalent Renault Clio. Peugeot is confident there'll be finance deals to keep monthly payments for the 208 competitive.

Peugeot 208 hatchback rear trackingAnother sticking point is the driving experience, because while the 208 is reasonable from behind the wheel, it only serves to reaffirm how much better the Ford Fiesta is to drive. The Peugeot's steering is the main culprit, as it’s too light and lacks feel. A nippy 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol engine goes some way to making up for it, along with an improved automatic gearbox. Overall, the Peugeot 208 is a highly desirable supermini, with a striking design and an interior that makes most of its rivals look a decade out of date. It's a shame the steering doesn't live up to the car’s looks, and list prices make the 208 look a little on the expensive side, but Peugeot may be able to iron these issues out relatively quickly.
